August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month!!!!

July 20, 2015
August is Breastfeeding Awareness month and as a breastfeeding mother I would love the opportunity to share some helpful breastfeeding tips and breast milk storage tips! I also had the opportunity to review items from Fresh Baby  that help with breastfeeding and I will give my honest review of the items.

Let's start with some breast milk storage tips! Please click this link here to print off an online resource of the tips. The tips guide sheet has an awesome breast milk storage guide to follow that will be extremely helpful to use while breastfeeding.

Fresh Baby also has an extraordinary article here on how to prepare to breastfeed and you can print off a helpful breastfeeding tip sheet as well.

There are so many benefits to breastfeeding. Here are my top five!
1) It saves up to $2,500 a year!
2) Enhances brain development &  intelligence!
3) Provides comfort and security!
4) Builds immunities to fight infections!
5) Reduces constipation and gas and crying!

Overall breastfeeding is best for babies and mothers as well!

One thing that is very important when breastfeeding is drinking plenty of water. One of the items I received to review from Fresh Baby was a 10-ounce collapsible water bottle. I love my collapsible water bottle because its easy to take places and is dishwasher safe. Drinking plenty of water is essential so having a reusable water bottle has made it easy and convenient for me. The water bottle stands tall when full and then folds up neatly when empty. It is small enough for me to pack in my purse or my diaper bag when I am on the go. It is also made from ultra-durable, BP-A Free, FDA- approved plastic material with a closable "pop-top" sprout. It is also attachable so if you do not want to put it in your purse or diaper bag you can attach it. It is easy to clip on with the convenient carabineer. You can also easily freeze it and use it as an ice pack or wait for it to thaw and drink the water. I also love the design on my water bottle. Its pink and motherhood friendly plus there is a write-on area on the back where you can write your name so its easy to identify! You can find the product here.

The next review I item I reviewed was mama jewels. Mama jewels are a friendly reminder of which breast you left off on. This helpful pin can slide around a camisole top, nursing bra, tank top, or belt loop as a chic way of keeping track. It helps to maximize milk production and reduces discomfort. I love that it promotes breastfeeding pride with the text message "IL2BF" which stands for "I love to Breastfeed." The mama jewels also came with breastfeeding tip cards. You can find the product here.

The last item I reviewed was the so easy mama pop maker. This item makes a one ounce frozen breast milk popsicle. This item offers breastfed babies a special frozen treat and helps relieve their teething with a soft gum massager. The ring shape handle is easy to hold and it has a special mouth shield that prevents babies from inserting it too much into their mouth. It is for babies that are 5-24 mouths and it made 100% BPA free, premium food grade silicone. It is also dishwasher safe and be found here. The pop makers you can use to make tasty cool treats  for baby and it is so easy and convenient. I would have never thought of a Popsicle that could be made out of a mothers milk to help soothe your child. Now I can have more nights sleeping because the teething products help to provide relief. I am so thankful for all these useful products and had a great experience reviewing them all.
