Miles From Tomorrowland Preview Party Review

January 28, 2015

Macaroni Kid East Wichita hosted a premiere party on January 24 for a new Disney Junior Series; Miles From Tomorrowland. The Party was held at the ULC. Fifteen children and their parents were able to see the show before it airs on February 6, 2015.

When guests arrived they received their own Space Adventurer Id Name Badge. Then they were ready to put on their space helmets and play games in the galaxy as we waited for other space adventurists to blast off. Once all the guests arrived we were ready to blast off into space to meet Miles and his friends!

Miles lived in a spaceship called the Stello-sphere with his dad, mom and sister in outer space.  His best friend who was always ready for an adventure was a Robo-Ostria named Merc. The Callisto family taught us that family is important and should always be willing to help one another out. The children really enjoyed the episode and are very excited to find out more about Miles and Outer space.

After we were finished watching the video I read the children two books. The first book was about the galaxy and I asked children about the galaxy and asked them questions and taught them some new words about the galaxy. We also learned about telescopes. The second book we learned a fun new song together about all of the planets. After we were finished with the books we all lined up to take a turn to look through a telescope. Each child got to observe and look through a telescope and ask questions. They were then given space junk that consisted of starburst and Milky Ways. They enjoyed their snack along with their rocket fuel. They were also given space themed cupcakes and popsicles to enjoy. After the children enjoyed their snacks they colored and completed a spaceship craft and activity booklet.

The children got a chance to play in the galaxy again and burn off some energy. Then two raffle drawers were drawn and each guest was sent home with Miles Tomorrowland trading cards, poster, and more. Everyone that attended had a BLAST!

Thank you to Disney Junior for sending us the DVD and the great activities.  A special thanks to the ULC for letting us use the room to host the party. #MilesFromTomorrowlandParty
